Nestled in the Alpujarra foothills of the Sierra Nevada sits the delightful, traditional Andalucian pueblo of Lanjaron.

Famous for it’s mineral water and Spa, the village has attracted visitors for centuries and today offers the perfect base for exploring the Granada region.

Only 20 minutes from the Costa Tropical and within half an hour of historic Granada’s Alhambra palace and the home of flamenco music, it is a true taste of the real Spain you hear so much about. Here you still receive free tapas with very drink!

  • the house is on 3 floors, so yes there are stairs. The top floor features the main living and dining area, with terrace etc

  • the house sleeps 6 adults and has a travel cot . There are 2 ground floor bedrooms , both with 2 single beds and one 1st floor bedroom with a king size bed. The ground floor rooms are traditional “cave” style rooms (semi-underground which stay much cooler in the summer heat

  • Casa Hondillo has 2 family bathrooms with full sized baths / shower over, wash-basins and toilets. 1 on the ground floor and one on the 1st floor

CASA HONDILLO

On a delightful little fountain square, in the heart of the old part of the village, this spacious home has many traditional features, and a huge open plan, living, dining, kitchen area, 8 seat dining table, and a large 2nd floor sun terrace.

2 ground floor "cave" bedrooms stay cool in summer/warm in the winter.

Features: American fridge freezer, flat tv, office space, large fully equipped kitchen, breakfast bar, 2 full suite bathrooms, light airy communal spaces

  • Whilst the house does feature a lot of tiled floors and stairs, we have tried to make it child friendly - there are 2 stair gates, a travel cot, and a bed rail available

  • No, there is no dedicated private parking, but there is an enclosed parking area 30 metres away, and nearby on-street parking is free

  • Fly to Malaga or Granada airports, then hire a car, take a bus, or private transfer
